We're leveraging our expertise in data engineering, cloud architecture, and modern data platforms to help Life Science organisations build the data foundations they need to accelerate research, innovation, and patient impact. Our Life Sciences team is growing, and we are looking for a Data Engineer who is curious, technically driven, and eager to grow with us. As a Data Engineer, you will design and build scalable data pipelines that turn complex, high-volume datasets: from omics and imaging to clinical and experimental data into reliable, production-ready foundations for analytics and AI. You'll be part of a true collective, working alongside bioinformaticians, data scientists, AI engineers, and client stakeholders to deliver impact-driven solutions from early discovery through to production deployment.
Job Responsibility:
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for Life Science use cases such as omics, imaging, experimental, and clinical data.
Work with complex, high-volume, and heterogeneous datasets, ensuring data quality, traceability, and reproducibility.
Develop data solutions on cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) that follow modern engineering and security best practices.
Contribute to and implement solutions using Databricks and modern data engineering frameworks.
Support projects end-to-end, from early discovery and design through to production deployment.
Collaborate closely with bioinformaticians, data scientists, AI engineers, and client stakeholders to co-create solutions that work in practice.
Share knowledge internally and contribute to ADC's thought leadership in Life Sciences data and AI.
Requirements:
4+ years of experience in Life Sciences industry as a Data Engineer, ideally gained in consulting or project-based work
A solid foundation in AWS/Azure, Databricks, Python, data modelling, testing and monitoring in production environments
Hands-on experience developing data pipelines for omics data, imaging data, or other scientific datasets
A quantitative academic background: Bioinformatics or similar fields.
The ability to communicate with anyone in the room, breaking down complex ideas for technical and non-technical audiences
A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset: you’re eager to solve problems, innovate, and drive change
A collaborative spirit: You believe the best solutions come from diverse perspectives and supporting each other to raise the bar.
Ability to work at the intersection of science, engineering, and business
Fluency in English.
