Job Description

We are seeking a Data Engineer with 3 to 6 years of experience to join our team at VOIS. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. The individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate data requirements into reliable, high‑performance data solutions while ensuring data quality, integrity, and operational stability.

Job Responsibility

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines and supporting software systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyse, and understand data requirements
  • Implement and manage ETL processes using tools such as Ab Initio or Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
  • Work with GCP services including BigQuery, Dataproc, Data Fusion, and Cloud SQL
  • Write, optimise, and maintain SQL queries for efficient data extraction and transformation
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across data platforms and systems
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data workflow and system issues to maintain reliability

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of experience in data engineering or related roles
  • Proficient in GCP services, including BigQuery, Dataproc, Data Fusion, and Cloud SQL
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Ab Initio or Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
  • Strong knowledge of Unix and SQL, with exposure to Teradata environments
  • Working knowledge of Python is an advantage
  • Strong problem-solving capability with close attention to detail
  • An effective communicator who collaborates well within diverse teams
