As a Data Engineer in the MarTech team you will be relied on to independently develop and deliver high-quality features and finish tasks to a high standard. You’ll be part of an emerging team, focussing on building and improving our innovative MarTech offerings applying marketing suites.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software development
  • Experience with data structures/algorithms with a focus on backend and data engineering
  • Hands-on experience in using Python programming languages with production experience of advanced concepts such as Design Patterns, OOP and FP
  • Proven experience on building cloud native data intensive applications on AWS (preferred)
  • Experience with Databricks (Lakehouse, ML/MosaicAI, Unity Catalog, MLflow, Mosaic AI, model serving etc)
  • Experience on Data Warehouse design and development per the business nature using any of the modern data warehouses
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Hands-on experience of building and maintaining Spark applications
  • Highly proficient in architecting and implementing workflow management systems, Airflow is a must
  • Highly proficient in implementation and delivery of serverless services, such as AWS Lambda, AWS Fargate, AWS Glue, AWS Kinesis, SNS, SQS, S3, EC2
  • Hands-on experience of building services around Apache Kafka with Schema Registry
  • Fundamental understanding of Parquet, Avro, Iceberg file formats
  • Experience on implementing error tracking and monitoring for backend services with DataDog and Grafana
  • Strong experience on building CI/CD processes, experience with Git Actions, ArgoCD or Jenkins is good to have
  • Experience with unit testing and test automation frameworks
  • Proven ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Comfortable providing and receiving constructive feedback, particularly while participating in code reviews
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
