Job Description

We are building Optiver’s next-generation Enterprise Data Platform on the Databricks Lakehouse. As a Data Engineer – Enterprise, you’ll design the curated data models, pipelines, and metrics that make data a trusted asset across Finance, People, and Business Operations. This is a hands-on role at the center of our data transformation: you’ll shape how business stakeholders access and trust data, working on one of the most modern stacks in the industry.

Job Responsibility

  • Build clean, scalable ELT pipelines using dbt, SQL, PySpark, and Databricks
  • Design curated models and semantic layers to standardize KPIs across Finance, People, and Ops
  • Partner directly with business teams to turn complex requirements into clear, reusable data products
  • Implement governance and quality checks (lineage, testing, role-based access) so data is reliable and secure
  • Deliver data products that power BI tools and self-service analytics
  • Contribute to platform best practices (CI/CD, naming conventions, testing frameworks)

Requirements

  • Experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering, ideally with exposure to Finance, People, or Business Ops data
  • Advanced SQL and dbt skills, with experience modeling for analytics (dimensional, medallion, vault)
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks or equivalent Lakehouse platforms
  • Understanding of data governance and quality frameworks
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with business stakeholders
