Job Responsibility:

  • To provide expertise in Planning, Design, Dimensioning and Optimization of of 2G&3G&4G&5G Data Core networks
  • To carry out budget and investment planning for expansion and new functionality implementation of Data Core Network systems
  • To provide expertise in the area of protocols such as such as SS7, MAP, SIP, Gn (GTP, GTPv2-C), Gx, Gy, Sd, S1-MME, S1-U, S3, S4, S5, S8, S11, S6a, SGs, S2b, SWu S6b, 5G N1, 5G N2 etc. and their 3GPP specifications
  • To provide expertise in the area of protocols such as such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, DNS, SNMP, GRE, IPSEC, RADIUS, NTP, DIAMETER etc. and their RFCs
  • To analyze Business Requirements and to translate into Network Requirements Specification that meets business and customer requirements
  • To analyze Core Network vendor roadmaps’ and to evaluate new products, features and technologies for new service deployments
  • To perform technical analysis of Core Network SW features and make proposals for SW Feature set that will be applied in Core Network
  • To assess the necessity of Core Network HW/SW upgrades in order meet business requirements and make execution plans accordingly
  • To create and evaluate Technical Requirement Specifications and/or Request For Information/Proposal/Quotation documentations for Core Network systems and projects
  • To prepare Business Continuity Management Plans for Core Network systems
  • Ensure that the Core related KPI’s are tracked and followed up with the related teams to ensure that all issues are identified and sorted out, before there is a risk to the network
  • To provide support in the area of Virtualization and Containerization
  • To analyze the effect of the campaigns on the performance of the network based on the figures provided by Marketing and Sales departments
  • Ensure that the KPIs are tracked for the services and required investment is requested if needed
  • Ensure that the Projects are implemented within the Budget and the timeline
  • To analyze nominal designs and dimensioning reports that are prepared by vendors to be sure that network was planned according to requirements
  • Close interaction, understanding and Alignment of the Project and plan with other Stakeholders (RAN, CPN TX, IT, Operations, marketing, etc)
  • Prepare all Acceptance Test Procedures and lead and execute all Acceptance Tests of new Core Network systems with vendors to ensure proper integration of them to network
  • Plan, develop and implement Tools to automate and expedite the Acceptance Tests in line with Continuous Integration & Delivery principles
  • Discussing with other OpCos and Group technology for the Service related strategy and topics
  • Work closely with the operations teams by providing timely input, feedback and RFC’s to carry out all Core services related network activities

Requirements:

  • Graduate Degree or more in Telecommunications
  • 10+ years of experience in the Telecommunication Industry
  • Proven knowledge of mobile network Core architectural design, Planning and implementation and Performance Analysis
