Job Description:

We are partnering with a major cloud provider in Western Sydney who are seeking a talented DC technician on a contract basis, the role will be pivotal to accomplish the effective delivery of technical support and installations.This will include break-fix tasks, includes hardware, network, cabling and rack deployments, site planning, problem escalation and managing installations in an Cloud Infrastructure datacenter.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work in close collaboration to other technical teams & non-technical teams (e.g networking, compute, compliance, business operations)
  • Understand internal customer problem and provide technical solution in timely manner
  • Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server hardware, software
  • Support deployment of on-site data center physical infrastructure, structured cabling installation is a significant part of this position
  • Install, Replace and Troubleshoot Cables and Hardware
  • Work within a ticket-based environment
  • Able to prioritize ticketing queues, resolving escalations, and clearing blocking issues to enable continued delivery of technician activities in accordance with internal polices and service level agreements. Be aware of, and abide by, Ticket processes and protocol, including Change Management rules.

Requirements:

  • 2 + years as a data centre technician / network engineer
  • Strong expertise in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support and optimization of all production server hardware & software
  • Drivers licence
  • Good attitude, reliable and takes pride in own work
  • Work in a multi-disciplinary team without friction
