We are seeking a Network Service Design professional to lead the end-to-end design of scalable, resilient, and secure data centre network solutions for global transformation and migration initiatives. This role focuses on translating business and application requirements into robust network architectures using Software Defined Networking technologies, while minimising operational risk and ensuring high availability across multiple global data centres.
Job Responsibility
Design and own end-to-end data centre network solutions, including high-level design documentation
Translate business and application needs into secure, resilient, and high-performance network architectures
Design and migrate connectivity from legacy environments to SD-WAN, Cisco ACI, NSX, and private cloud platforms in line with Vodafone security, zoning, and routing standards
Define routing, segmentation, resiliency, and migration strategies that support future scalability and operational simplicity
Forecast network performance, availability, and capacity requirements based on usage trends and service roadmaps
Collaborate with architecture, operations, security, application, and vendor teams across geographies to deliver integrated solutions
Provide design and operational support during service restoration and transformation activities
Manage priorities across multiple data centre network design initiatives and provide clear, timely stakeholder updates
Requirements
Experienced in data centre build, consolidation, and migration, including hybrid and public cloud environments
Proficient in SDN technologies such as Cisco ACI, Cisco SD-WAN, and VMware NSX
Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus data centre platforms
Strong understanding of switching and routing technologies including OSPF, BGP, BFD, VXLAN, FabricPath, and segment routing
Familiar with public cloud networking across providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Comfortable collaborating across multidisciplinary teams and communicating complex design decisions clearly
Exposure to automation and infrastructure-as-code concepts using tools such as Terraform and basic Python scripting is advantageous
