Job Description

Supplier Qualification: Lead the technical assessment and qualification of Chinese manufacturers for CDU (Coolant Distribution Unit) and Fan Array/Wall systems. Technical Liaison: Act as the key technical bridge between the US post-processing team and Chinese partners to ensure alignment on specifications and quality standards. System Integration: Oversee the integration of Chinese-made CDU and Fan Array products into the global 'Total Solution' (including Chillers or other heat management system.). Localization & Quality: Drive product localization and ensure all components meet international data center standards (ASHRAE, etc.).

Job Responsibility

  • Conduct on-site technical audits of potential CDU and Fan Array suppliers
  • Evaluate their R&D capabilities, manufacturing processes, and testing facilities
  • Translate US technical requirements into detailed local engineering specs
  • Review and approve supplier technical drawings, P&IDs, and control logics
  • Lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and performance validation for CDU and Fan Array units
  • Focus on heat exchange efficiency, pressure drop, and fan curve accuracy
  • Collaborate with the US team to ensure seamless communication between the Chillers, the CDUs, and the Fan Array
  • Track advanced cooling technologies in the Chinese data center market (e.g., cold plate liquid cooling, immersion cooling) and provide insights to the US team
  • Lead engineering-side projects from initial vendor selection to prototype delivery under aggressive schedules

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of working experience in HVAC, Data Center Cooling, or Industrial Thermal Management systems
  • Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in Thermal Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Process Equipment and Control Engineering
  • Deep understanding of heat exchangers (Plate/Frame), pump control, and fan array technology
  • Familiar with liquid cooling loops (Primary/Secondary circuits) and flow control logic
  • Experience with Data Center standards (e.g., Uptime Institute, ASHRAE TC 9.9)
  • Excellent written and oral English skills are mandatory to collaborate with US-based stakeholders
