Job Description

A hands-on technician role responsible for installing, maintaining, and decommissioning network and cabling infrastructure within a data center environment. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow structured processes, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Install and decommission network and cabling infrastructure
  • Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and design documentation
  • Perform structured cabling including copper and fiber installations
  • Execute cable terminations, labeling, and testing
  • Maintain clean and organized work environments within the data center
  • Provide updates on project progress and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot and test copper and fiber systems
  • Install ladder racking, seismic bracing, and underfloor infrastructure
  • Conduct service swaps on live networking equipment

Requirements

  • Experience with low-voltage cabling and structured cabling systems
  • Ability to pull, terminate, and test copper and fiber cables
  • Familiarity with telecom tools and safety standards
  • Experience reading blueprints and wiring diagrams
  • Knowledge of MDF/IDF layouts and cable management
  • Basic troubleshooting and testing using equipment like OTDR or DSX testers
