Job Responsibility
Direct day-to-day data center operations (power, cooling, security, network) to consistently meet a 99.999% uptime SLA
Lead, mentor, and upskill a team of shift engineers and technicians, managing scheduling, performance evaluations, and training
Author and enforce SOPs, maintenance frameworks, and disaster recovery plans in alignment with local regulations and global standards (TIA-942, ISO 27001)
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for critical M&E systems, ensuring strict vendor and contractor SLA compliance
Utilize DCIM and BMS tools to track capacity, environmental metrics, and system health while leading incident response and post-mortems
Spearhead continuous improvement projects to optimize PUE, reduce operational costs, and meet sustainability goals
Manage OPEX/CAPEX budgets and collaborate cross-functionally with senior leadership, engineering, and commercial teams on capacity planning and expansions
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant technical field
Over 8 years in critical facilities and data center operations, including 3+ years of direct managerial and team leadership experience in 24/7 mission-critical environments
Deep knowledge of M&E infrastructure (UPS, PDU, CRAC/CRAH, chillers, generators, fire suppression) alongside hands-on experience with DCIM, BMS, and CMMS platforms
Well-versed in global industry frameworks, including TIA-942, ISO 27001, and Uptime Institute Tier classifications
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues and decisively manage high-pressure incidents
Fluent in English (written and verbal)
Nice to have
Professional proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin is a plus
CDCP/CDCE certifications and prior experience managing hyperscale or carrier-neutral colocation facilities
