Job Description

Role- Data Center Migration – Project Manager Location- Raleigh, NC (Onsite) Full Time Employment The Project Manager – Data Center Migration is responsible for planning and executing assigned workstreams or migration waves within a larger DC migration program. The role focuses on day-to-day delivery, coordination, and execution of infrastructure and application migration activities.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage assigned DC migration projects or workstreams from initiation to closure
  • Develop and maintain project plans in MS project, schedules, RAID logs, and status reports
  • Proven hands-on experience in using Microsoft Excel to compare datasets, perform data analysis, and generate accurate insights and reports
  • Coordinate with application, infrastructure, network, and security teams to execute migration activities
  • Track dependencies and ensure readiness for migration waves and cutovers
  • Support application migration activities including discovery, planning, testing, and cutover
  • Manage data center decommissioning tasks for assigned scopes
  • Identify risks and issues, propose mitigation plans, and escalate when required
  • Ensure adherence to change management and operational readiness processes
  • Provide regular status updates to Program Manager and stakeholders
  • Support governance forums, reviews, and migration readiness checkpoints

Requirements

  • 8–12 years of IT experience with 5+ years in Project Management
  • Hands on experience in Data Center Migration or Infrastructure Projects
  • Good understanding of: Server, storage, network, and virtualization technologies
  • Application migration lifecycle
  • IT service management processes
  • Strong planning, coordination, and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and vendors
  • Experience working in global delivery models
  • PMP / Prince2 / ITIL certification preferred
