Job Description

We are looking for an experienced IT specialist to lead delivery operations in a vendor-managed infrastructure environment. This long-term contract position is based in Irvine, California, and focuses on overseeing cloud and data center services while ensuring operational stability and measurable progress. The ideal candidate will excel in driving vendor accountability and maintaining high standards for service availability, performance, and security.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee daily operations of data center and cloud services, ensuring service stability and effective incident, change, and problem management
  • Act as the primary escalation point for infrastructure-related issues, driving timely resolutions
  • Manage vendor relationships by setting clear expectations, validating deliverable quality, and addressing performance gaps
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans to resolve recurring issues and dependencies
  • Support the transition to a vendor-led operating model by clarifying roles, responsibilities, and handoffs between stakeholders
  • Document and refine processes to reduce reliance on undocumented knowledge and ensure operational clarity
  • Produce concise and actionable status reports for executive leadership, highlighting risks and recommending solutions
  • Maintain a structured approach to tracking actions, deadlines, and outcomes to drive accountability
  • Ensure adherence to ITIL processes and governance standards to maintain service quality
  • Facilitate leadership decision-making by presenting clear, fact-based insights and options

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in infrastructure operations, service delivery, or transformation projects
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing vendor-led or outsourced service models
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive results without direct authority
  • In-depth knowledge of ITIL processes, including incident, change, and problem management
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in high-pressure and ambiguous environments
  • Exceptional communication and documentation skills for clear and concise reporting
  • Experience with cloud technologies and infrastructure services, including governance and security
  • Track record of implementing corrective actions and improving service delivery outcomes
