Job Description:

As a Microsoft Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician (DIAT), you will prioritize and assign ticketed work to technicians on the team, provide guidance on inbound/outbound logistics tasks, and ensure that inventory balances are accurate. This opportunity will allow you to demonstrate your expertise in standard processes and procedures for Inventory & Asset Management and develop skills around mentorship of peer technicians accelerating your career growth in the process.

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintains a strong focus to understand the impact of their work when completing tickets and assigned Inventory and Asset Management (IAM) tasks
  • Performs destruction of data bearing devices (DBD) following all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Microsoft policies as necessary
  • Coordinates, prepares, and executes incoming/outgoing deliveries
  • Maintains and stewards up-to-date and accurate logical information within various inventory management systems
  • Follows procedures to contribute to plans to develop, build, and run methodologies
  • Notifies management about ordering stock shortages
  • Complies with security and data management policies
  • Performs assigned tasks and escalates issues during high-volume work activity or escalation-based situations
  • Engages supplier to initiate warranty claim when automation is not available and processes the orders
  • Embodies our culture and values

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma AND 1+ year(s) experience warehouse/supply chain in an information technology (IT) environment, inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or a related field OR equivalent experience
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check
  • Reliability Status screening with the Government of Canada

Nice to have:

2+ years experience in warehouse/supply chain in an information technology (IT) environment, IT, and/or logistics, operating heavy-load movement equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jacks, chassis lifts) for a large corporation OR equivalent experience
