As a Microsoft Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician (DIAT), you will prioritize and assign ticketed work to technicians on the team, provide guidance on inbound/outbound logistics tasks, and ensure that inventory balances are accurate. This opportunity will allow you to demonstrate your expertise in standard processes and procedures for Inventory & Asset Management and develop skills around mentorship of peer technicians accelerating your career growth in the process.
Job Responsibility:
Maintains a strong focus to understand the impact of their work when completing tickets and assigned Inventory and Asset Management (IAM) tasks
Performs destruction of data bearing devices (DBD) following all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Microsoft policies as necessary
Coordinates, prepares, and executes incoming/outgoing deliveries
Maintains and stewards up-to-date and accurate logical information within various inventory management systems
Follows procedures to contribute to plans to develop, build, and run methodologies
Notifies management about ordering stock shortages
Complies with security and data management policies
Performs assigned tasks and escalates issues during high-volume work activity or escalation-based situations
Engages supplier to initiate warranty claim when automation is not available and processes the orders

Requirements:
High School Diploma AND 1+ year(s) experience warehouse/supply chain in an information technology (IT) environment, inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or a related field OR equivalent experience
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements
Microsoft Cloud Background Check
Reliability Status screening with the Government of Canada
Nice to have:
2+ years experience in warehouse/supply chain in an information technology (IT) environment, IT, and/or logistics, operating heavy-load movement equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jacks, chassis lifts) for a large corporation OR equivalent experience
