Job Responsibility:

  • Be a trusted thought leader for business data stewards, technical data stewards, domain data stewards and/or Chief Data Officers
  • Develop metadata strategy and data governance frameworks tailored to customer’s needs and strategy but aligned with industry best practices

Requirements:

  • 10-15 years of experience in metadata management and data governance practices, systems and processes
  • 3+ years of experience in consulting roles leading data governance initiatives
  • Certifications in Alation, Atlan
  • Rich experience in Databricks Unity Catalog or MS Purview
  • Proven hands-on experience in one or more of the above tools, including data cataloging, lineage mapping, and data governance
  • Experience in installation, configuration, administration of Data Catalog both cloud hosted and SaaS
  • Experience in Integration of Data Catalog with cloud and on-prem data sources
  • Building accelerators on top of off-the-shelf Data Catalogs using available SDK/API
  • Deep understanding of frameworks such as DAMA, DCAM, and any relevant certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in any quantitative discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to work with CXOs and senior business leaders in defining data governance roadmaps
  • Ability to clearly articulate, influence, and thought partner with senior business leaders
  • Deep Understanding of modern concepts as Data Catalog 3.0 / Active Metadata, Data Observability, Data Fabric and Data Mesh
  • Exposure to driving data governance maturity assessment initiatives
  • Understanding of modern technology trends in data management and data stacks in data management and governance including but not necessarily limited to the above tools
  • Experience in running customer workshops and other collaboration sessions to discover customer priorities, understand current state, and determine maturity/readiness to execute on enterprise Data Management & Governance vision
  • Experience in automation of workflows using tools like Power Automate
