Job Description

Ark M&E (Minor Works & Temporaries) are looking for an experienced Data Cabling Engineer for ongoing long term work on our London projects. You would be required to work on multiple London projects. Current project locations: Liverpool St, Notting Hill, Vauxhall, Wembley, Brent Cross, Southwark, Sutton.

Job Responsibility

  • Working for Ark M&E minor works and temporaries division
  • New build apartments and some commercial office fit out works
  • Installation and termination of data cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a)
  • CCTV, door entry, access points, data connection and fault finding
  • Long term work available
  • 7:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday with 1 hour lunch (9hrs worked)

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Data Cabling Engineer
  • MUST HAVE experience of CCTV, door entry, access points & data connection
  • Valid ECS or CSCS Card
  • Valid Work Permit / Right to Work in UK

  • Quality Assurance - Perform physical inspections to ensure that vendor work meets DEC quality standards throughout the lifecycle of the data center. Validate physical installs, test reports, build accuracy, material and local code compliance including constructability reviews on multiple design phases
  • Technical Field Lead - Technical lead for industry and Meta standards, responsible for leading product evaluation, design, and installation methods in the field, including scope clarification, design, and installation details as the owner of the Request for Information process
  • Technical Coordination - Develop solutions to in-field scope gap or clash issues. Partner with DEC design and engineering teams to digitally support design reviews, BOM reviews, and as-built drawing validations
