Job Description

For our client in the financial sector, we are seeking a Data Business Analyst to join a team.

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring requirements are clearly understood and effectively delivered
  • Analyze business processes, datasets, and systems to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Lead or support development of automated data lineage solutions to improve visibility, governance, and traceability across data pipelines
  • Apply generative AI and other analytics methods to automate workflows, extract insights, and enhance decision-making
  • Gather, validate, and document business and data requirements for new projects and enhancements
  • Translate high-level technical designs, data concepts, and analytical outputs into business-friendly language
  • Investigate data quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with technical teams on corrective actions
  • Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations that help stakeholders understand performance and support informed decisions
  • Continuously explore data sources, products, and tools with an inquisitive mindset to uncover new value opportunities

Requirements

  • Solid and relevant experience in a similar role, approximately 5 years
  • Ability to comprehend complex data architecture
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Multitasking ability and the capacity to work under pressure within tight timelines are essential
  • Open personality with effective communication skills and the flexibility to work in an international team

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of data management tools like Collibra, Atlas, QlikSense is a plus
  • Proficiency in interpreting and articulating SQL and Python code would be considered an asset for this role
  • Knowledge of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision standard is desirable
  • Master’s degree preferred
