Job Description:

A fast-growing and highly regarded litigation team in Manchester are seeking an experienced, talented, and commercially minded Data Breach Solicitor to join their team. You will manage a varied and high-quality caseload of data breach and privacy matters, acting for claimants in complex and often high-value and high-profile claims. Work within a progressive and ambitious firm that is investing heavily within its data breach offering.

Job Responsibility:

  • Handle litigated data breach claims from inception to trial
  • Advise on GDPR and misuse of private information
  • Draft pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements
  • Conduct negotiations and mediations
  • Supervise junior fee earners where appropriate
  • Contribute to the strategic growth of the department

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor with 5-6 years PQE
  • Strong experience in data breach/privacy litigation
  • Confident running your own caseload with minimal supervision
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GDPR and data protection law
  • Excellent technical and drafting skills
  • Commercially aware and client focused

Nice to have:

Supervisory or mentoring experience
