Data/BI Analyst

• Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI to support business decision-making
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
• Create and manage data models within Microsoft Power BI, including relationships, hierarchies, and performance tuning
• Write advanced calculations and measures using DAX to deliver meaningful business insights
• Use Power Query to clean, transform, and shape data from multiple sources
• Integrate data from various systems (ERP, CRM, flat files, APIs) into cohesive reporting datasets
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Analyze trends, patterns, and anomalies to provide actionable insights and recommendations
• Optimize report performance, including dataset design, query efficiency, and refresh strategies
• Maintain documentation for data sources, models, and reporting logic
• Support ad hoc data requests and exploratory analysis
• Collaborate with data engineering and IT teams on data pipelines, warehousing, and governance initiatives

• 3–5+ years of experience in a Data Analyst or BI Analyst role
• Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, data manipulation, and performance tuning
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, including dashboard development and data modeling
• Advanced experience with DAX for calculated measures and KPIs
• Experience using Power Query (M language) for ETL and data preparation
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, normalization vs. denormalization)
• Experience working with large datasets from multiple data sources (ERP, CRM, cloud platforms)
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Azure, Snowflake, or similar) is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables) and data analysis best practices
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
