We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Data Architect to join our team in Nieuwegein, Netherlands. As a Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in helping our organisation structure and manage increasingly complex data ecosystems, collaborating with stakeholders and driving data management initiatives.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive data architecture strategy aligned with organisational goals
design, implement, and oversee robust data models and structures to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives
collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective architectural solutions
create and maintain data flow diagrams, entity-relationship diagrams, and other technical documentation
establish data governance policies and ensure adherence to data quality standards
implement data security measures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR)
evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance data management capabilities
provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and analysts
develop and present data architecture roadmaps to senior management and stakeholders
continuously monitor and optimise data architecture performance and scalability
Requirements:
HBO or WO education in IT or a related field
approximately 2 years of experience as a Data Architect
TOGAF certification is preferred
extensive knowledge of data structures, data mapping, and data modelling techniques (e.g., datavault, dimensional, semantic)
proficiency in cloud technologies and experience with complex data integration problems
expertise in ETL/ELT processes, AI, Data Science, SQL and No-SQL databases, RDF (Linked Data), and Knowledge graphs
strong understanding of data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR)
experience with data governance and data quality management practices
excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
strong communication abilities to effectively liaise between technical and non-technical stakeholders
proven track record in stakeholder and expectation management
fluency in Dutch and English is required
innovative mindset with a vision for leveraging cutting-edge data technologies
ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
