Job Description

Our confidential banking client is seeking an experienced Data Architect to design scalable data solutions across modern Lakehouse, data lake, and data warehouse environments. This is a HYBRID contract in Toronto

Job Responsibility

  • Design enterprise data models for Lakehouse, data lake, and warehouse platforms
  • Define data standards, governance frameworks, and architectural best practices
  • Translate business requirements into scalable data architecture solutions
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders
  • Optimize performance, scalability, and cloud data platform costs
  • Establish data structures, modeling standards, and governance controls

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with enterprise data architecture and data modeling
  • Strong expertise in dimensional and normalized modeling techniques
  • Deep knowledge of AWS data technologies including S3, Glue, Iceberg, Redshift, and Athena
  • Experience implementing data governance and data quality frameworks
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Nice to have

  • Banking or financial services experience
  • Experience with cloud data modernization initiatives
