Job Description:

The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Job Responsibility:

Design and implement scalable and performant big data solutions using Hadoop, Spark, and other relevant technologies
Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and ETL processes
Optimize database performance and ensure high availability
Collaborate with data engineers, scientists, and analysts to understand data requirements and provide technical guidance
Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve data infrastructure
Implement and maintain data security and governance policies
Troubleshoot and resolve database issues
Document database architecture and design decisions
Mentor junior team members

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
12+ years of total experience with 5+ years as a Data Architect
Strong understanding of database design principles and data modeling techniques
Extensive experience with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka and related technologies (HDFS, Hive, HBase, etc.)
Proficiency in Python or Scala
Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have:

Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools
Experience with data governance and security best practices
Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
