Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to join our team in Alexandria, Virginia. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust data solutions that support enterprise-level operations. This hybrid role requires occasional onsite presence, providing flexibility while fostering collaboration.

Job Responsibility:

Design and implement scalable data architectures for enterprise-level systems using Oracle databases, both on-premises and cloud-hosted
Develop fully automated data integration processes from diverse sources, including flat files and databases
Conduct dimensional modeling to create optimized data structures that enhance reporting and analytics
Serve as a technical mentor to less experienced developers, providing guidance and support in data architecture best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data solutions align with business requirements
Manage the creation and maintenance of enterprise-class data repositories, ensuring reliability and performance
Participate in hybrid work arrangements, reporting onsite once a month to foster team collaboration
Utilize advanced database administration techniques to maintain system integrity and security
Work with vendors to validate and ensure the quality of data solutions
Continuously evaluate and improve existing data processes for efficiency and scalability

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Architect, with a proven track record in enterprise-level data solutions
Expertise in Oracle databases, including both on-premises and cloud-hosted environments
Strong skills in dimensional modeling and creating data structures optimized for analytics
Practical experience with fully automated data integration processes from a variety of sources
Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar
Ability to mentor less experienced developers and contribute to team growth
Proficiency in advanced database administration and repository management
Familiarity with cloud technologies and data architecture best practices
