Regulatory Requirements & Obligations (RRO) is a fundamental area of compliance risk management. Citi has an obligation to comply with many and varied regulatory obligations that govern our industry and has established sustainable processes that can identify, apply, and monitor emerging and recent changes to current laws and regulations. The RRO Quality Review (QR) Team provides oversight for the Regulatory Requirements & Obligations process, performing quality reviews for each stage of the process. The Quality Review Design & Execution Lead is responsible for supporting the Head of Quality Review in leading quality reviews and ad-hoc regulatory projects where required. This role requires a pragmatic, proactive individual with a background in Financial Services and a solid understanding of the regulatory landscape. Ideal candidate will have a strong legal and/or compliance background, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility
Conduct independent research and analysis of matters, applying institutional knowledge and knowledge of laws, rules and regulations, to support in the identification of legal solutions situations or to formulate recommendations on approach or strategy
Support Performance Management activities
Contribute to the collating and delivery of feedback and the analysis of performance metrics
Apply in-depth understanding of how associated risks differ depending on product and documentation envisaged in relevant jurisdiction(s) and provides advice to the Risk function and business partners accordingly
Contribute to team planning and development initiatives
Taking part in data sourcing and analysis, reporting tasks
Requirements
Bachelors/University degree
Relevant industry experience, preferably with some experience working in an in-house legal role within financial services
Strong IT skills, desirable: Python
Experience in data analysis and management, reporting
Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel (formulas and functions, pivots), Outlook
Ability to manage complex documentation with organization and detail
Must possess excellent interpersonal and project management skills, as well as the ability to interact and communicate effectively with Senior management
Experience with Tableau
Knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry
Nice to have
Experience of leading Compliance Reviews/ Audit or in another testing function is desirable but not essential
Strong IT skills, desirable: Python
