A Data and Integration Architect designs, plans, implements, and manages solutions that enable different systems and data sources to work together seamlessly, defining integration strategies, selecting appropriate technologies like APIs and middleware, and ensuring secure, efficient, and scalable data exchange within an organization. This individual will be responsible for the development and maintenance of application software for various systems.
Job Responsibility:
Establish and maintain data integrity standards that ensure the accuracy, consistency and security of data across different platforms
Works with product, design, and other team members to identify the functional and non-functional requirements of the feature being developed
Leverages technical knowledge and experiences to develop new or improved architectural approaches, functional features and components for applications solutions, from design through deployment
Participates in team activities and contributes to discussions, such as production support triage, incident management, code reviews, architecture reviews, and technology standards definitions
Provides guidance, recommendations, and leadership with practical feedback for the optimal use, development and maintenance of application features and solutions
Requirements:
BS in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
10+ years of experience with database development technologies, including MySQL, Oracle DB, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or DB2
Five plus years of personal insurance business knowledge
Proven ability to design and manage APIs and event-driven architectures
Hands on experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CICD) tools and automated testing frameworks
Strong knowledge of modern integration architectures and languages
Familiarity with Cloud based integration platforms
Excellent interpersonal skills required with strong customer service orientation
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team
Natural tendency to be curious, positive and creative
Ability to collaborate and work with third-party solution providers and integration parties for the design and development of solutions, including offshore partners
Ability to work in a fast pace, growing and changing environment embracing DevOps and Continuous Delivery practices
