Our hiring process is unique. We hire interns and place them on teams we think they’d be successful on. We place interns on teams based on their experience, interest, and what works best for Shopify. We hire interns exclusively into Data and Engineering internships.

Job Responsibility:

  • Data Engineering: architect and manage expansive data pipelines
  • Product Data Science: understand products and figure out how to make them 10x better
  • Software Engineering: craft code that powers commerce
  • Applied Machine Learning Engineering: build products and fine-tune ML models
  • Infrastructure Engineering: build blocks that move Shopify forward
  • Security Engineering: detect, evaluate, and address security threats

Requirements:

  • Love challenging yourself with projects or hacking just for fun
  • Are a constant learner
  • Have a passion for solving tough problems with code
  • Take ownership of the projects you work on
  • Enjoy research and figuring out how pieces of an entire project work
  • Take pride in creating simple solutions to complex problems
  • Have a strong commitment to quality
