Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Defence Naval Data and Configuration Management Lead to support our client in standardising and modernising how Defence manages finance, logistics, supply chain, asset management, maintenance, workforce and commercial data across the enterprise. The Data and Configuration Management Lead is responsible for ensuring the integrity, quality and governance of enterprise data supporting a large-scale ERP transformation. The role focuses on standardising and modernising enterprise data management to enable consistent processes, improved decision making and compliant operations across the organisation’s maritime engineering, logistics and technical assurance functions.

Job Responsibility

  • Analyse, define and document ERP data requirements across multiple business domains
  • Produce clear data mapping specifications, transformation rules and validation criteria
  • Report on data readiness and risks with actionable recommendations
  • Lead remediation and preparation of data across tranches/waves to meet business and ERP configuration requirements
  • Coordinate cleansing activities, de-duplication, enrichment and standardisation aligned to master data and configuration baselines
  • Develop and maintain the ERP data preparation reports, ensuring migration/conversion readiness
  • Establish and embed data governance policies, standards and operating procedures
  • Define data quality metrics, controls and monitoring mechanisms
  • implement dashboards and periodic reporting
  • Develop a progressive plan to improve data quality over time and reduce residual data risk
  • Provide targeted guidance and training to business units on data ownership, stewardship and quality obligations
  • Provide expert advice on targeted ERP data applications

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience leading data remediation, migration, and governance for complex ERP programs
  • Strong understanding of configuration control, data management, baselining and change control in engineering/logistics environments
  • Must have strong Defence Maritime data and configuration experience
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management experience
  • Demonstrated experience in using Navy's Endless Toolsets
  • Demonstrated experience in SAP and SAP S4 Hana
  • Required Security Clearance Level: Baseline
