Job Description:

Our Edmonton client is seeking a highly skilled Data and AI Services Consultant to join the Data Centre of Excellence for a long-term contract opportunity. This role is central to the OneData Alberta initiative, where you will help design and develop a federated data ecosystem that transforms how the government manages and uses its data assets. If you are a versatile professional with a background in data strategy, artificial intelligence, and service design, this is an incredible chance to influence a one-government approach to innovation and service delivery.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design and establish enterprise-grade service offerings for data and artificial intelligence platforms
  • Advance the strategic roadmap and tactical plans to enhance the end-user experience for data access
  • Create visual assets, architecture models, and briefings to present complex data strategies to senior leadership
  • Provide subject matter expertise on the integration of DevSecOps and advanced analytics into the data ecosystem
  • Facilitate strategic workshops with diverse stakeholders to align goals and develop shared understanding
  • Coach product and platform teams through the entire lifecycle from initial concept to continuous improvement
  • Develop key results and performance metrics to track the effectiveness of data management initiatives

Requirements:

  • A university degree in a related field with 6 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and progressive experience
  • Extensive experience architecting and integrating AI, machine learning, and analytics services into large-scale enterprise platforms
  • Proven track record leading the design and delivery of complex IT services using agile and user-centered approaches
  • Strong background in designing enterprise data management frameworks and governance models for complex organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end project delivery, including risk management, adoption planning, and business case development
What we offer:
  • Work on a high-visibility provincial initiative that shapes the future of data and AI services for all Albertans
  • Engage with cutting-edge technologies in generative AI, machine learning, and automated orchestration
  • Lead strategic conversations and influence decision-making at the executive level across multiple ministries
  • Collaborate within a sophisticated environment that prioritizes user-centered design and agile delivery
  • Help build a marketplace-style data experience that reduces duplication and enhances government-wide collaboration
