Job Description:

CIB Data and Analytics (CIB D&A) provides high-end analytics services across global businesses and functions, generating value through diverse analytic solutions and business consulting. The team supports decision-making and strategic planning, integrating data-driven decisions across various domains, including regulatory, operations, procurement, credit & lending, IT infrastructure, and financial crime risk.

Job Responsibility:

  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) from various sources, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and integrity
  • Design and optimize data pipelines, ensuring efficient data extraction, storage, and processing
  • Extract and integrate data from external sources, such as public databases, social media platforms and third-party vendors to enhance advanced analytics capabilities
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of complex transactional and demographic datasets to identify patterns for identifying risk and opportunities
  • Develop innovative and impactful data-based tools and models for propensity modeling and risk mitigation, continuously evaluate the effectiveness of models and make recommendations for improvements
  • Engage various stakeholders to understand and collect project requirement, present analysis and or results, make recommendations on strategy formulation and solicit project feedback

Requirements:

  • Good to have knowledge of Banking domain use cases with specific applications to data science problems
  • 6+ years of relevant experience, preferably in banking and financial sector
  • University degree in Computer Science, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or any other quantitative related discipline, PhD or Master’s degree is highly preferred
  • Proficiency in using Python, SQL, or similar analytically oriented programming languages
  • In depth knowledge and experience with machine learning techniques and algorithms
  • Experience with cloud analytics platforms such as GCP, Azure and AWS and big data platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, etc
  • Extensive technical skill in data mining, able to understand various data structures both structured and unstructured and common methods in data transformation
  • High technical aptitude, problem solving abilities, intellectual curiosity, motivation, and passion for data discovery
  • Open minded and self-motivated with good communication and interpersonal skills as well as strong sense of responsibility
