The Data Analytics Lead Analyst is a senior-level, strategic professional responsible for driving enterprise-scale Data Governance, Data Quality, and Data Lineage capabilities across Compliance domains, including AML and KYC. This role serves as a recognized subject matter expert, contributing to directional strategy and delivering audit-ready data governance solutions aligned with Citi's Compliance Data Governance Program (CDGP) and regulatory expectations. The role requires deep hands-on expertise, strong partnership with Compliance, Operational Risk, and Data Engineering, and the ability to influence across functions to ensure consistent, transparent, and controlled data practices.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the design and implementation of Enterprise Data Governance frameworks, including Data Quality, Data Risk Taxonomy, and Data Lineage, across Compliance domains such as AML, KYC, and Regulatory Reporting
Partner closely with Compliance, Operational Risk, Technology, and Data Engineering teams to embed governance and control requirements into upstream and downstream data flows
Support and lead complex data integration and transformation initiatives, including sources and platforms such as RegEd, Appian, and other enterprise compliance systems
Drive end-to-end data mapping, metadata standardization, and lineage documentation across critical reference and Compliance data assets
Contribute to target-state data models, regulatory data remediation programs, and Data Issue Management initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards
Design and implement data control, lineage, and traceability frameworks that integrate Compliance data providers with consuming applications to support audit-ready, sustainable governance practices
Serve as a recognized technical and domain authority for Compliance Data Governance, influencing standards, best practices, and cross-functional delivery approaches
Contribute to the development of Data Analytics and Governance standards that others within the function will follow
Perform advanced analysis of complex, ambiguous data issues where solutions are not readily apparent, recommending and executing corrective actions
Provide thought leadership, guidance, and advisory support to stakeholders across Compliance and Technology
Own the quality, timeliness, and delivery of data governance and analytics initiatives, including short-term planning and prioritization
Appropriately assess and manage risk in business decisions, demonstrating strong consideration for Citi's reputation, regulatory obligations, and control environment, including escalation and transparent management of data control issues
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in data analytics, data governance, or related roles, with hands-on experience supporting large, complex data sets
Proven experience implementing Enterprise Data Governance, Data Quality, and Data Lineage, preferably within Compliance, AML, KYC, or Regulatory Reporting domains
Demonstrated ability to lead CDGP or comparable enterprise data governance implementations delivering audit-ready outcomes
Strong understanding of data integration, transformation, and lineage across complex enterprise architectures
Excellent communication, diplomacy, and influencing skills to guide cross-functional stakeholders and senior partners
Ability to resolve complex, highly variable problems requiring sound judgment and analytical rigor
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
