Job Description:

The Data Analytics Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who contributes to directional strategy and provides technical authority and impacts business functions. This role includes applying industry expertise, performing data analysis, developing data quality controls, managing lifecycles, implementing solutions, and ensuring compliance and governance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area
  • Contributes to data analytics standards around which others will operate
  • Applies in-depth understanding of how data analytics collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function
  • Employs developed communication and diplomacy skills to guide, influence and convince others
  • Resolves occasionally complex and highly variable issues
  • Development of data controls including data profiling, data analysis, logic tuning, and advanced SQL coding
  • Manages the end-to-end data quality control development lifecycle
  • Scopes data control code releases, agrees to business priorities, incorporates regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Creates and implements data quality controls by performing audits and validations across data sources
  • Conducts exploratory data analysis to uncover data trends, patterns, and anomalies
  • Develops plans, prioritizes, coordinates design and delivery of products or features
  • Works in co-ordination with various stakeholders
  • Identifies solutions across data analytics, reporting, CRM, Trade Workflows, and trade processing
  • Partners with senior team members and globally distributed user community to define and implement solutions
  • Creates clear and specific project plans, requirements documents for product execution
  • Focuses on controls and governance
  • Assesses risk and drives compliance with laws and regulations

Requirements:

  • 6-10 years' experience
  • Advanced SQL coding proficiency
  • Deep Business Analysis skill set including a strong understanding of various forms of analysis such as: Descriptive Analysis, Diagnostic Analysis, Exploratory Analysis, Inferential Analysis, Causal Analysis
  • Efficient coding methodologies such as use of Common Table Expressions and window analytic functions to create elegant and efficient analytical packages in SQL
  • Very strong proficiency in data profiling and entity relationship discovery within a standard Enterprise Data Warehouse and extensive experience in use of business data marts
  • High competency in actual coding in SQL to interrogate the data system and obtain outputs necessary to answer business questions
  • A good general understanding of the development cycle of a software product (SDLC, Agile methodologies, etc.)
  • Intermediate/advanced Python experience preferred
  • Experience with data management lifecycles and workflows
  • Banking/Lending experience preferred but not required
  • Intellectual curiosity, analytical and conceptual thinker
  • Proactively seeks and develops new opportunities
  • Attention to detail and process/analytic mindset
  • Ability to build networks and relationships internally and externally
  • Familiarity with product development methodologies
  • Direct experience in end-to-end project delivery, preferably in product development, and knowledge of various analytical tools including QlikView, Tableau, Access
  • Comfortable with performing data investigations that require a high degree of accuracy with tight timescales
  • Ability to create business analysis, troubleshoot data quality issues, and conduct exploratory and descriptive analysis of business datasets
  • Ability to structure and break down problems, develop solutions, and to drive to results
  • Process Management knowledge with a propensity for detail and comprehensiveness of Content
  • Ability to collaborate and clearly communicate with team members of an organization
  • Project Management skills with experience leading large cross large cross functional initiatives
  • Generation of reports and presentations for management

Nice to have:

  • Intermediate/advanced Python experience preferred
  • Banking/Lending experience preferred but not required
