Job Description:

Citibank, N.A. seeks a Data Analytics Lead Analyst for its Jacksonville, Florida location. Duties include designing and developing Big data solutions, partnering with domain experts, product managers, analyst, and data scientists to develop Big Data pipelines in Hadoop or Snowflake, moving all legacy workloads to cloud platforms, working with data scientists to build Client pipelines using heterogeneous sources and provide engineering services for data science applications, ensuring automation through CI/CD across platforms both in cloud and on-premises, researching and assessing open-source technologies and components to recommend and integrate into the design and implementation, serving as a technical expert and mentor other team members on Big Data and Cloud Tech stacks, defining needs around maintainability, testability, performance, security, quality, and usability for data platforms, driving implementation, consistent patterns, reusable components, and coding standards for data engineering processes, converting SAS based pipelines into languages like Pyspark, Scala to execute on Hadoop and non-Hadoop ecosystems, tuning Big data applications on Hadoop and non-Hadoop platforms for optimal performance, evaluating new IT developments and evolving business requirements and recommend appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems by analyzing business processes, systems, and industry standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design and develop Big data solutions
  • Partner with domain experts, product managers, analyst, and data scientists to develop Big Data pipelines in Hadoop or Snowflake
  • Move all legacy workloads to cloud platforms
  • Work with data scientists to build Client pipelines using heterogeneous sources and provide engineering services for data science applications
  • Ensure automation through CI/CD across platforms both in cloud and on-premises
  • Research and assess open-source technologies and components to recommend and integrate into the design and implementation
  • Serve as a technical expert and mentor other team members on Big Data and Cloud Tech stacks
  • Define needs around maintainability, testability, performance, security, quality, and usability for data platforms
  • Drive implementation, consistent patterns, reusable components, and coding standards for data engineering processes
  • Convert SAS based pipelines into languages like Pyspark, Scala to execute on Hadoop and non-Hadoop ecosystems
  • Tune Big data applications on Hadoop and non-Hadoop platforms for optimal performance
  • Evaluate new IT developments and evolving business requirements and recommend appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems by analyzing business processes, systems, and industry standards

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Data Mining, Engineering (any) or related technical field and 3 years of experience as a software developer or related position involving building data pipelines using big data technologies, data modeling and data quality and governance
  • Alternatively, employer will accept a bachelor’s degree in the stated fields and 5 years of the specified progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience
  • Developing, maintaining, testing, analyzing, and evaluating the inflow of big data
  • Python for modeling and scoring
  • Programming languages PySpark and Scala to ingest, transform, analyze and store data
  • Release Lifecycle Management to manage software release planning, coordination, application packaging, and deployment automation
  • GIT to store source code and track code change history
  • Hadoop and Snowflake
