Job Description:

KAIROS, Inc is searching for an energetic, experienced, and highly motivated Data Analytics Intern to join our team. This position is a part-time role. This internship position will work directly with our Enterprise Platforms and AI team on multiple projects. The intern will learn directly from a senior data analytics SME on mission-critical applications.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide Data Engineering support across various platforms, including Databricks, Advana, and Palantir Foundry, encompassing data ingestion, transformation, and pipeline optimization
  • Develop and maintain scalable data workflows to enable advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives aligned with organizational goals
  • Support Data Science projects by applying statistical modeling, machine learning, and AI techniques to solve complex problems and extract actionable insights
  • Learn and leverage tools within the Advana/Jupyter Data and AI ecosystem, contributing to innovation aligned with the NAWCAD Wolf Tech Roadmap
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data engineering and data science solutions into mission-critical applications
  • Document processes and best practices for reproducibility and knowledge sharing across teams

Requirements:

  • Strong customer relations, analytics, and documentation skills
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, strong work ethic with a commitment to quality
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work within a challenging, fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear status and/or communicate issues
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technology
  • Currently a junior or senior pursuing either a Bachelor’s, master’s, or higher-level degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or a similarly related field
  • At least one year of experience working on the platforms listed. Experience working with statistical modeling, machine learning, and AI techniques is required
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to complete the process for a security investigation
  • Must be able to receive a Secret Security Clearance
