We are looking for a skilled Data Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role requires someone with strong attention to detail, expertise in financial data analysis, and advanced Excel capabilities. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting month-end close processes and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
Job Responsibility:
Manage month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts
Maintain and update the general ledger to ensure accurate financial reporting
Perform detailed account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
Conduct bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial transactions
Utilize advanced Excel skills, such as formulas, macros, and automated scripts, to streamline data analysis and reporting
Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights
Collaborate with team members to enhance the efficiency of financial processes
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and accounting standards
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports as required
Requirements:
Proven experience in month-end close processes and financial reporting
Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entry preparation
Expertise in account reconciliation and bank reconciliation procedures
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, macros, and scripting
Ability to analyze complex financial data and present findings effectively
Familiarity with accounting principles and standards
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
