Job Description:

The Data Analyst role involves supporting data-driven processes through analysis and investigation of data-related issues. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, with strong SQL skills and insurance domain knowledge. Responsibilities include data classification, responding to queries, and collaborating with teams to ensure data quality.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform data analysis and data classification across different datasets and domains
  • Respond to ad‑hoc data queries from stakeholders regarding databases or Excel‑based information
  • Investigate data issues, including identifying where problems originate in source systems
  • Write SQL queries to explore, validate, and troubleshoot data scenarios
  • Develop clear overviews and summaries for reporting needs, such as percentage distributions or breakdowns
  • Track and document mapping progress for relevant data processes
  • Perform data analysis on the data mart to support business and reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with peers to ensure data understanding, consistency, and transparency
  • Support stakeholders by translating business questions into analytical steps and insights

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, or Information Technology
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis
  • Strong insurance domain knowledge
  • Advanced SQL skills and the ability to work with relational data
  • Strong analytical mindset and problem‑solving abilities
  • Senior to expert level experience in data analysis
  • Ability to understand data models (no implementation required)
  • Proficiency with Excel, SharePoint, Confluence, and similar tools
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly and support business users with data‑related questions
  • Strong attention to detail and structured documentation approach
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of data modelling or data engineering concepts is nice to have
  • Familiarity with consuming Data Vault data structures is nice to have
