We are looking for a Data Analyst to support fraud detection and investigative reporting for a Long-term Contract opportunity based in Irvine, California. This role focuses on turning complex data into actionable insights that help identify suspicious activity, strengthen anti-fraud efforts, and support business decision-making. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical thinking, experience working with fraud-related datasets, and the ability to communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
Job Responsibility
Analyze transactional and behavioral data to uncover unusual patterns, emerging risks, and indicators of suspected fraud
Develop reports, dashboards, and data summaries that support fraud monitoring, case prioritization, and investigative follow-up
Partner with fraud prevention and investigation teams to translate data findings into practical actions and risk mitigation strategies
Review large datasets for inconsistencies, trends, and anomalies that may signal fraudulent activity or control weaknesses
Support ongoing anti-fraud initiatives by providing data-driven insights that improve detection accuracy and operational response
Document analytical findings in a clear and organized manner for business partners, investigators, and leadership review
Assist with refining data analysis methods and reporting processes to improve visibility into fraud trends and performance outcomes
Requirements
Experience in data analysis within fraud, risk, compliance, or investigative environments
Working knowledge of suspected fraud indicators, fraud analytics techniques, and anti-fraud practices
Ability to interpret large datasets and identify meaningful trends, anomalies, and risk signals
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Experience supporting fraud investigation efforts through reporting, data review, or case analysis
Proficiency in organizing findings and presenting insights in a clear, business-friendly format
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment while managing priorities independently
