We are looking for a skilled Data Analyst to join our team in Los Angeles, California, on a long-term contract basis. You will play a pivotal role in analyzing complex datasets and providing actionable insights to support anti-fraud initiatives.
Job Responsibility:
Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies related to suspected fraud
Develop and implement fraud analytics models to detect and prevent fraudulent activities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate potential fraud cases and provide detailed reports
Monitor and assess the effectiveness of anti-fraud strategies and recommend improvements
Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to enhance fraud detection processes
Prepare visualizations and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders
Conduct thorough investigations into flagged transactions or activities and document findings
Support the development of automated tools and processes for fraud prevention
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies related to fraud analytics
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in all investigations
Requirements:
Proven experience in data analysis, with a focus on fraud detection or prevention
Strong understanding of fraud investigation techniques and anti-fraud strategies
Proficiency in data analytics tools such as SQL, Python, R, or similar
Ability to analyze complex datasets and draw actionable conclusions
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Effective communication skills to present findings clearly to stakeholders
Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to fraud investigation is preferred
Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Data Science, Statistics, or Business Analytics
