We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support reporting, data quality, and performance insights for programs based in Newark, New Jersey. This Long-term Contract position combines data administration, analytics, and stakeholder support in a hybrid work environment. The person in this role will help translate complex information into clear reporting, strengthen data accuracy, and guide providers and staff in effective data submission and use.
Job Responsibility
Oversee the ongoing use and maintenance of the organization’s data collection and reporting platform to ensure consistent and reliable information management
Review submitted data for completeness and accuracy, identify discrepancies, and escalate issues that may affect reporting quality or compliance
Prepare recurring reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis for leadership, funding partners, and member organizations using automated and manual reporting methods
Develop dashboards, charts, tables, and written summaries that make findings easy to understand for both technical and non-technical audiences
Respond to custom reporting requests by gathering relevant information, analyzing results, and delivering timely data insights to internal teams
Produce monitoring reports that help track agency performance and adherence to required data and reporting standards
Train new providers on reporting expectations, data submission procedures, and proper use of the organization’s data system during onboarding
Provide ongoing technical guidance to staff and external partners on accessing, submitting, and interpreting data within the reporting system
Support periodic program reviews by supplying data analysis, contributing to review discussions, and identifying trends that can inform quality improvement efforts
Participate in stakeholder meetings to present findings, answer questions, and offer recommendations related to data quality, reporting, and operational improvement
Requirements
Proven experience in data analysis, reporting, and data quality review within a structured business or program environment
Strong ability to create dashboards, visual reports, tables, and summaries that communicate insights clearly to varied audiences
Experience training or supporting users on data systems, reporting processes, or data submission requirements
Skill in identifying trends, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities through detailed analysis of operational data
Ability to manage recurring deliverables while also handling ad hoc reporting requests with accuracy and timeliness
Strong communication skills for presenting findings and collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and leadership
Proficiency with data management and reporting tools, along with advanced spreadsheet and analytical capabilities
Background in fraud analytics, anti-fraud review, fraud investigation, or suspected fraud analysis is valued
