The Data Analyst role involves applying quantitative analysis to drive business growth, designing visualizations, conducting investigations with large data sets, partnering with various teams, and fostering a community of analysts.

Job Responsibility

  • Apply expertise in quantitative and statistical analysis to formulate deep-level insights that help identify trends & opportunities to drive business growth
  • Design interconnected collections of high performance visualizations for clear narrative understanding and interactive exploration
  • Be a thought leader for data-informed initiatives and contribute to the team’s direction
  • Conduct in-depth investigations leveraging large and complex data sets
  • Partner with Data Science, Product, PM, Data Engineering and Software Engineering teams to solve problems at scale
  • Inform, influence, and execute new strategies and tactics using analysis and impact metrics
  • Apply emerging quantitative tools or techniques when they can enhance research conclusions
  • Determine success metrics that measure short and long-term progress for both goal and project performance
  • Foster a community of analysts within the organization by sharing best practices and mentoring
  • Build narrative around data quality for advertiser data and provide insights for better client identification opportunities
  • Handle relational and non-relational databases, data frames and/or Business Intelligence development, performing data transformations and manipulation
  • Design and develop data solutions that help product and business teams make data driven analytical decisions tailored to improve data management
  • Leverage appropriate analytical techniques to draw conclusions from structured and unstructured data to answer exploratory and hypothesis-based questions
  • Create visual representations that efficiently deliver information and enable the discovery of insights from trends, outliers, and patterns in the data

Requirements

  • Master's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related field
  • 2 years of work experience in the job offered or in an analyst or computer-related occupation
  • 2 years of experience in Data Lake/Hadoop platform implementation for data analytics projects
  • 2 years of experience with relational databases (Oracle, Postgres, MySQL) and large-scale distributed systems (Hadoop, Spark)
  • 2 years of experience with SQL and Python for data processing, analysis, and analytics
  • 2 years of experience applying data architecture and data modeling techniques within the advertiser and marketing data domain
  • 2 years of experience performing quantitative and statistical analysis using advanced methodologies (linear and logistic regression, forecasting models)
