Job Description:

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join a team in Midland, Texas in an onsite contract-to-permanent role. This position centers on managing and interpreting data to support business decisions, with a strong emphasis on building reliable reporting and analytical solutions. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with SQL, Power BI, Python, and R, and is comfortable working across large datasets in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Organize, maintain, and validate data assets to support accurate reporting and analysis across the business
  • Develop dashboards and interactive reports in Power BI that translate complex information into clear insights for stakeholders
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources
  • Use Python and R to perform data analysis, automate recurring tasks, and improve reporting efficiency
  • Apply DAX to create calculated measures and strengthen reporting capabilities within BI solutions
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs and deliver data-driven recommendations
  • Support the design and improvement of data pipelines and related processes to enhance data availability and quality
  • Contribute to modern data platform initiatives, including work involving Microsoft Fabric when applicable

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a data analyst or similar analytical role with a strong focus on data management
  • Hands-on proficiency with SQL for querying, transforming, and validating data
  • Strong working knowledge of Power BI, including dashboard creation and report development
  • Experience using Python and R for analysis, scripting, or process automation
  • Familiarity with DAX for advanced calculations and reporting logic
  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric and data pipeline concepts is preferred
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly and work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
