Join us as a Data Analyst in Client Insights team. The Client Insights team exist to create new data products and insights for direct consumption by Barclays corporate clients, and run a range of existing products marketed under Client Insights in Global Transaction Banking, by commercialising the vast data we hold on our clients, their products, markets and competitors. The purpose of the role is to run analytics and reporting for the Market & Customer Insights product within Client Insights, utilising the existing Vantage and Hadoop platforms.
Job Responsibility:
Run analytics and reporting for the Market & Customer Insights product within Client Insights
Deliver SQL scripts and Tableau dashboards to meet business requirements
Provide live support for any incidents and provide regular delivers as per the business schedule
Take part in initiatives to improve the accuracy, availability, granularity and coverage of our data
Create code and visualisations for new data products, using a range of analytical tools
Maintain data integrity on the delivery platform
Ensure all reports are generated correctly before sending to end consumers
Support in the incremental improvement of the system by identifying areas of operational weakness
Investigation and analysis of data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative source identification
Designing and building data pipelines to automate data movement and processing
Apply advanced analytical techniques to large datasets to uncover trends and correlations
Design and create interactive dashboards and visual reports using applicable tools and automate reporting processes
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in an analytical / statistical discipline required (e.g. Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Operations Research or related quantitative field)
Strong knowledge of SQL
Proficiency in data visualisation software, ideally Tableau
At least 2-3 years of working within a data and analytics function/team and an understanding of big data platforms, data analytics and reporting tools and techniques
Nice to have:
Knowledge of Unix Scripting & Tivoli Work Scheduler
Tableau preferred
Experience of big data platforms such as Hadoop, Teradata, AWS, Excel
Knowledge and understanding of Controls Framework
Experience of working within Financial Services and/or large-scale global tech/data enabled organisations
