Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. This role is critical in creating Management Information (MI) Dashboards and driving data insights throughout the organisation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, a solid understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Science methodologies, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive MI Dashboards using Power BI to provide actionable insights
  • Develop complex data models, DAX queries, and integrate multiple data sources for real-time reporting
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends and insights that inform business decisions
  • Apply statistical techniques and advanced analytics to improve strategic planning and operations
  • Leverage data to drive business intelligence, ensuring data-driven decision-making across departments
  • Develop and implement BI strategies to enhance data accessibility and usability
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver relevant data solutions
  • Facilitate workshops and training to improve data literacy and BI tool usage
  • Use SQL for data tasks, ensuring clean and accurate data for analysis
  • Develop ETL processes to automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from various sources
  • Integrate various data sources into systems and dashboards using APIs, ensuring smooth data flow and synchronization
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in data handling and reporting
  • Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to innovate and enhance BI practices
  • Participate in discovery workshops to assess current reports, dashboards, and data usage
  • Support the rationalisation of legacy reports and work with stakeholders to modernise or consolidate them
  • Implement data quality assurance processes to maintain the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of data used for analysis and reporting
  • Conduct regular data quality audits and assessments
  • Perform tasks to clean and validate data, ensuring high quality and identifying anomalies or inconsistencies
  • Establish and monitor metrics to track data quality, addressing issues in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Use automated tools for data quality checks and implement frameworks to ensure consistent data management
  • Support Power BI governance practices, including dataset certification, report standards, and workspace organisation
  • Ensure accurate, consistent, and secure master data across the organisation
  • Develop and maintain MDM policies and standards
  • Establish data quality and governance metrics to maintain the integrity of master data
  • Conduct audits and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate MDM with other business systems
  • Provide training on MDM tools and best practices, creating user guides to facilitate usage
  • Apply machine learning algorithms and predictive modelling techniques to extract insights and forecast trends
  • Perform statistical analysis to interpret complex datasets and deliver actionable insights
  • Create advanced visualisations to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders
  • Work with Big Data technologies to manage and analyze large data volumes
  • Stay updated with advancements in data science and apply them to improve methodologies and techniques

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst with expertise in creating impactful dashboards and reports
  • Experience in a data-driven, fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, with strong SQL and API integration experience
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools like Azure Data Factory
  • Expertise in data engineering, including data cleaning, transformation, and preparation for analysis
  • Proven track record in data quality management, cleansing, and validation
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, and automation for data analysis
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in statistical analysis
  • Excellent communication skills to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Experience in creating technical documentation and user guides
  • High attention to detail to ensure data accuracy in all deliverables
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, with project management experience in tools like Jira or Trello
  • Collaborative approach with cross-functional teams and experience mentoring junior analysts
  • Experience managing data-related projects, with an understanding of Agile or Scrum methodologies
  • Strong experience translating business requirements into Power BI semantic models and dashboards
