Data Analyst

• Review freight invoices and related records to confirm charges, identify inconsistencies, and prepare information for analysis
• Transfer, organize, and maintain data in Microsoft Excel using structured, accurate, and easy-to-audit formats
• Assign transactions to the correct accounts and verify that amounts are properly coded and supported by documentation
• Analyze data trends and exceptions to help improve accuracy in reporting and day-to-day financial tracking
• Examine source documents carefully to ensure records are complete, consistent, and aligned with internal standards
• Create and update inventory and operational reports that support retail business needs and ongoing workload demands
• Partner with internal stakeholders to clarify missing details, resolve data issues, and maintain dependable records

• At least 2 years of experience in data analysis, data entry, or a related analytical support role
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to clean, organize, and reconcile large volumes of data
• Experience reviewing invoices, freight costs, or other transaction-based financial documents
• Ability to code invoices or financial entries to the appropriate accounts with a high degree of accuracy
• Solid analytical skills with close attention to detail and the ability to detect discrepancies quickly
• Background supporting retail, inventory, or merchandise-related reporting is preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
