Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Data Analyst to join our team in Nieuwegein, Netherlands. As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business, information, and technology, helping our organisation make data-driven decisions.

Job Responsibility:

identify organisational needs and translate them into effective information solutions
conduct interviews with stakeholders to gather and analyse data requirements
create validated requirements and specifications with appropriate quality and depth
prioritise tasks in collaboration with business teams and act as a point of contact for content-related queries
develop and maintain databases, data systems, and data analytics platforms
analyse complex data sets using statistical methods and create comprehensive reports
design and develop data visualisations to communicate insights clearly
collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions
ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems
stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics

Requirements:

BSc or MSc education in IT or a related field
minimum of 2.5 years of experience in data analysis or a similar role
proficiency in data analysis, data design, and data modelling techniques
strong knowledge of relational algebra and database structures
excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
proven experience with SQL
knowledge of Power BI is advantageous
proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization tools
practical experience in developing and maintaining data systems
strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly
fluency in Dutch (required) and English
experience with machine learning techniques is desirable
detail-oriented with a customer-focused approach
ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
goal-oriented mindset with a passion for driving data-informed decisions

Nice to have:

knowledge of Power BI
experience with machine learning techniques
