Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst / Reporting Specialist to support with high quality data analysis, reporting, dashboard development, and financial insights. This role is ideal for someone who is strong with Excel, experienced in financial and operational reporting, and confident building and maintaining data models that inform strategic decision making.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop, maintain, and improve data models to support operational and financial analysis
  • Perform rigorous data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights
  • Build forecasting, scenario-planning, and performance tracking models
  • Produce regular and ad-hoc reports for leadership, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and relevance
  • Create dashboards, scorecards, and visual reports that support data-driven decision making
  • Consolidate data from multiple sources into coherent, meaningful outputs
  • Partner where appropriate with fee earning divisions and IT to ensure data integrity and alignment with organisational reporting frameworks
  • Maintain high standards of data accuracy, documentation, and version control
  • Identify and help resolve data quality issues
  • Create and maintain data definitions and reporting standards

Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem solving skills and an analytical mindset
  • Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, lookups, Power Query
  • VBA bonus)
  • Experience building data models and performing multi-source data analysis
  • Strong reporting and dashboard design experience
  • Competence in financial reporting/ analysis (budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis)
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data quality
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proactive, curious, and willing to challenge assumptions
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of deliverables
  • Familiarity with SQL or other data query languages

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with operational or performance data in a professional services environment
  • Experience with BI /data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik)
  • Knowledge of automation or workflow optimisation tools
