Job Description:

HSBC is seeking a Data Analyst with expertise in data modelling, SQL, and Credit & Lending. Responsibilities include designing data models, collaborating with teams, optimizing data access, and contributing to governance and security. The role is based in Hyderabad, India, and offers opportunities for growth and an inclusive work environment.

Job Responsibility:

Designing and developing data models: Creating logical and physical data models that reflect business requirements and data architecture principles
Collaborating with stakeholders: Gathering data requirements from various teams and translating them into actionable data modelling strategies
Optimizing data models: Ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of data access
Data profiling and analysis: Conducting data profiling and analysis to ensure data quality and integrity throughout the modelling process
Maintaining data dictionaries and metadata: Creating and maintaining data dictionaries and metadata repositories to ensure consistency and integrity of data models
Translating models into physical implementations: Working with Data Engineers to implement data models on the data platform
Using data modelling tools: Utilizing appropriate tools and techniques for data modelling
Field questions and challenges on the requirements from the business supported. Coordinate and agree execution schedules between business process owners and Data Analytics Org (DAO)
Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand data requirements and provide analytical support
Assist in developing and maintaining data governance and security standards.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Data Modeler, IT Analyst, or similar role
Proficiency in data analysis tools
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Good understanding of the Credit & Lending domain
Strong communication and presentation skills to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail combined with a strong delivery focus, meeting aggressive timeframes with quality results
Knowledge of data management and data controls
Maintaining data dictionaries and metadata: Creating and maintaining data dictionaries and metadata repositories to ensure consistency and integrity of data models.
