Job Description

We have a contract opportunity through end of year for an early-career Data Engineer with a strong foundation in SQL, ETL processes, and data analysis, capable of building and optimizing data pipelines in a cloud-based environment. They bring hands-on experience working with large datasets, demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and can quickly understand data requirements to support business and analytics needs. This individual is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, delivery-driven environment. 100% remote.

Job Responsibility

  • Help our customers and vendors with appropriate data needs to serve our members effectively
  • Meeting with the manager for first few weeks to make comfortable and then monitor the work week-to-week basis
  • Understand data extract requirements from the data analysts
  • Build ETL processes Snowflake and Teradata to achieve the desired result
  • Analyze the data set requested for and report any data quality or observations with the third-party entity and internal team
  • Write complex SQLs to analyze data sets for various standard extracts
  • Understand complex data mappings to find issues and help developers to fix the same
  • Performance measure: should be able to handle active projects and multiple priorities
  • Unique opportunity to support critical initiatives
  • Develops and operationalizes data pipelines to make data available for consumption (reports and advanced analytics). This includes data ingestion, data transformation, data validation/quality, data pipeline optimization, orchestration, and engaging with DevSecOps Engineer during continuous integration and continuous deployment

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1+ year of experience with SQL
  • Excellent Analytical skills with sound SQL and ETL knowledge
  • Problem solving nature with Data experience preferably in HealthCare
  • Owning and delivering the tasks with minimal help

Nice to have

  • Healthcare experience
  • Talend/Informatia ETL or Datawarehouse background or Snowflake/Teradata with Cloud tools
