Job Description:

We are seeking a Data Analyst – ServiceNow CMDB to support a major program focused on maintaining and optimizing the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). This is a hybrid role, requiring the candidate to work in the Toronto office twice a week. You will be integral to ensuring accurate configuration data, supporting integrations, and aligning CMDB processes with best practices across ITOM, ITAM, and ITSM.

Job Responsibility:

  • Configure and maintain CMDB classes, relationships, and attributes, ensuring continuous health monitoring and a target accuracy of 95%
  • Implement and optimize Service Mapping to establish accurate service-to-infrastructure relationships, aligning the CMDB structure with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
  • Develop automated workflows for CI updates and lifecycle transitions. Integrate the CMDB with discovery tools, monitoring systems, and external data sources
  • Configure and manage the certificate inventory within ServiceNow, automating renewal workflows and expiration alerts
  • Facilitate governance discussions, create compliance checklists, and ensure audit readiness through accurate documentation and lifecycle visibility

Requirements:

  • ServiceNow CSA certification is required (candidates must provide the associated email address for verification)
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience with ServiceNow CMDB and related modules
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL processes, including CMDB, ITAM, ITOM, and ITSM
  • Expertise in CMDB lifecycle management aligned with CSDM
  • Proven experience maintaining CMDB health (target: 95% accuracy) and resolving data quality issues
  • Proficient in JavaScript, Business Rules, Client Scripts, and GlideRecord
  • Experience with Flow Designer, Scheduled Jobs, and Notifications
  • Strong in ServiceNow workflows, reporting, dashboards, and analytics

Nice to have:

Preferred Certification: Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified Implementation Specialist – Data Foundations (CMDB & CSDM)
