Job Description

We are seeking a highly driven and consultative Data & AI Pre-sales Specialist to support the growth of our Data & AI practice in Malaysia. The ideal candidate will bridge business needs and technical capabilities, using their expertise in data strategy, AI strategy, governance, and use case definition to shape transformative solutions for large enterprises. This role is pivotal in supporting business development, influencing C-level stakeholders, and securing end-to-end Data & AI implementation projects through high-impact pre-sales engagements.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead strategic conversations with enterprise clients to understand business challenges and propose data-driven and AI-enabled solutions
  • Conduct Data & AI Maturity Assessments, Discovery Workshops, and Executive Briefings tailored to client industry and business context
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for decision-makers
  • Define comprehensive Data & AI strategies, including data platform modernization, data monetization, and AI adoption roadmaps
  • Advise clients on data governance frameworks, policies, data quality management, and compliance (e.g., PDPA, industry-specific requirements)
  • Support the development of Responsible AI principles and explainability models aligned with enterprise standards
  • Lead pre sales solution design for data integration, data governance, analytics, and AI/ML initiatives
  • Collaborate with solution architects and delivery leads to design end-to-end technical solutions and implementation roadmaps
  • Prepare and deliver high-impact proposals, demos, PoCs, and presentations tailored to CXOs and business stakeholders
  • Support RFP/RFI responses and develop thought leadership in alignment with client-specific objectives
  • Translate client requirements into conceptual and solution level architecture and conduct POC
  • Recommend suitable design approaches aligned with client objectives and delivery capabilities
  • Stay abreast of trends in Data, AI, ML, GenAI, Cloud, and Analytics within the Malaysia and Southeast Asia context
  • Build relationships with key technology partners (e.g., Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud) to strengthen solution offerings
  • Represent the company at conferences, client briefings, and industry forums

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, or related fields
  • 7+ years of relevant experience, with at least 3+ years in a pre-sales, solution consulting, or strategy advisory role in Data & AI
  • Strong track record in consulting with large enterprises in Malaysia, ideally in sectors like BFSI, Telco, Government, Manufacturing, or Energy
  • Strong understanding of data integration, data pipelines, and data modelling principles
  • Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks
  • Ability to design conceptual and logical data architectures
  • Understanding of analytics, reporting, and intelligence solution patterns
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML lifecycle, on premise / cloud data platforms, and analytics tools
  • Familiarity with technology stacks such as AWS/Azure/Google Data Services Offering, Snowflake, Databricks, HPE Ezmeral, Huawei DWS/MRS, Cloudera, Informatica, Qlik, Talend, DataRobot, Dataiku etc.
  • Experience working in or with Big 4, top-tier consulting firms, or leading system integrators is highly advantageous
