As the Social Housing Repairs and Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep, safety, and functionality of our social housing properties. You will lead a team of maintenance technicians and oversee all repairs and maintenance tasks particularly damp and mould, ensuring that our tenants receive the best possible service and live in well-maintained properties.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
prioritize and schedule repair and maintenance tasks based on urgency and tenant needs
inspect properties regularly to identify maintenance and repair requirements
coordinate and manage contractors for larger repair projects
ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work, as well as associated costs
collaborate with property management to address tenant concerns and resolve maintenance issues promptly
monitor and manage the maintenance budget effectively
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
relevant technical certifications or trade qualifications preferred
proven experience in maintenance and repairs within a social housing or property management environment
strong leadership and team management skills
excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
knowledge of health and safety regulations and maintenance best practices
good communication and interpersonal skills
ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
