Job Description

Long-Term Supply Primary Teacher. Location: West Sussex & Surrey. Pay: £120 - £160 per day. Start Date: September 2026. Contract: Long-Term Supply / Block Placement (Full-Time & Part-Time). Looking for the perfect middle ground between daily supply and a permanent contract? Randstad Education is recruiting adaptable, passionate Primary School Teachers (KS1 & KS2) for long-term supply assignments starting this September. A long-term supply role gives you the best of both worlds: the consistency of teaching the same class and earning a steady income, without being tied down by permanent school contracts or out-of-hours school politics.

Job Responsibility

  • Take ownership of a KS1 or KS2 classroom, executing engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum
  • Plan collaboratively with year-group partners using established school schemes of work
  • Maintain positive classroom management and foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment
  • Assess pupil progress and provide feedback during your placement block

Requirements

  • QTS: Qualified Teacher Status (or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification)
  • Experience: Proven classroom delivery within a UK primary school setting (ECTs are highly welcome!)
  • Adaptability: A positive, proactive attitude and a passion for student progress
  • Vetting: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to process a new one with us)
